North East Green Groups aims to aid groups to work, communicate and network with each other more effectively.
negg also tries to increase public awareness of the environmental movement in the North East. Whether you're an environmentalist thinking of moving to the area, a local wanting to get involved, or a journalist, businessman, local campaigner, Government official...
In the past, we have had to trawl the net using search engines to find information about North East environmental groups. Not only are many of their websites out of date, many groups don't have the resources to have websites at all. negg gives them the opportunity to advertise themselves and their work. Hopefully this will boost the fortunes of individual groups and the environmental movement as a whole, simply through raising awareness.
negg is currently funded by donations from the groups themselves. Luckily, overheads are low - all work is done by volunteers - but if you'd like to make a donation it would be greatly appreciated - we do have to pay for web hosting and domain name renewal. To donate, contact us.
